Recommend StoryShort to people who make story videos, and Whop pays you a share of what the customers you refer pay. Whop runs the program: it tracks the click, records the sale and sends the payout, so the record lives in your own Whop dashboard.
Commission
30% of each payment a referred customer makes. That is Whop's default rate on every StoryShort product, as configured in our Whop dashboard on 2026-10-17. Whop shows the exact rate per product, the payout schedule and your referrals in your affiliate dashboard; if anything here disagrees with Whop, Whop is right.
We make no promise about how much you will earn. It depends entirely on your audience and whether StoryShort is genuinely useful to them.

Honest product facts
StoryShort (storyshort.app) turns a story, a Reddit post, a topic or your own text into a narrated vertical video with AI-generated visuals and word-by-word captions.
Made for story formats: Reddit stories, scary stories, history, Bible verses, quotes, motivation and more.
Voices: standard natural voices are included; premium ElevenLabs voices are an optional add-on that costs extra credits.
Every paid plan starts with a 3-day free trial (card required, 120 trial credits, about 3 standard videos). It renews at the plan price unless cancelled, one trial per account.
Plans start at $19/month for 1,200 credits; a standard video costs 40 credits, so that is about 30 videos a month.
Can post to a connected YouTube channel automatically.
Has an API and a remote MCP server, so Claude and other AI agents can create videos directly.
What it does not do: no avatars or on-screen presenters, and no promise about views, followers or income. Results depend on the creator.

3 short scripts
Script 1: the screen-recording demo (about 30 seconds)
[Screen: StoryShort create page] "I'm going to turn a story I wrote into a video."
[Paste the story] "Paste the story, pick a voice and a length."
[Finished video plays] "Narration, visuals for each beat, captions. I'd still trim the opening, and that's fine: it's a draft I can fix."
[On-screen text] "Link in bio. It's an affiliate link, so I may earn a commission."
Script 2: the voice test (about 25 seconds)
"Same story, two narrators. Listen to the pause before the twist."
[Play version A, then version B]
"The standard voice is included. The premium one costs extra credits. For a story, the pause is worth it to me."
[On-screen text] "Affiliate link in bio: I may earn a commission if you subscribe."
Script 3: the honest review (about 45 seconds)
"Three things I like about StoryShort and two I don't."
"Like: I can paste my own story instead of a prompt. Each beat gets its own visual. Captions are word by word."
"Don't like: long stories need cutting before they fit, and premium voices cost extra credits."
"There's a 3-day free trial, but it needs a card and renews unless you cancel, so set a reminder."
[On-screen text] "This is a paid affiliate link. I may earn a commission."

These come from the US FTC Endorsement Guides and Whop's community guidelines. Breaking them can get your Whop account, or ours, restricted.
Disclose every time, right next to the link: "paid link", "#ad" or "I earn a commission if you buy". "Affiliate" alone, or a disclosure hidden behind "more", is not enough.
In a video, say it out loud in the video and also write it in the caption or description near the link. A comment is not enough.
Only say what you have seen yourself. If you haven't used StoryShort, say so, or use it first.
No income or results claims: don't promise views, followers, monetisation or money, for you or for your audience.
Don't bid on "StoryShort" in search ads, don't impersonate us, and don't put your link in reviews on Whop.
On TikTok and Instagram, also switch on the platform's paid-partnership / commercial content setting where it applies.
