Why Video Length Calculator Matters for Video Creators

Professional video creators rely on video length calculator to ensure their content meets platform requirements and looks perfect on every device. Whether you're creating for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, or other platforms, getting the right specifications is crucial for maximizing engagement and reach.

Our video length calculator provides instant, accurate results based on industry standards and platform guidelines. Save time, avoid trial-and-error, and create videos that perform better from the start.

Video Length Checker for TikTok, Shorts and Reels

Enter a file size in MB and the bitrate the video was encoded at, and the video length calculator works out the duration as minutes and seconds. Add the frame rate (30 fps is assumed when left blank) to get the total frame count as well, which helps when you plan cuts or slow-motion segments.

The result also works as a video length checker: every duration is compared with short-form targets for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and X, and anything at 60 seconds or less is marked as fitting all vertical formats. Use it to confirm an export before you upload rather than discovering a trimmed clip afterwards.

How do I check a video length from its file size?

Duration in seconds = file size in bits ÷ bitrate in bits per second. The video length calculator converts MB to bits (MB × 8 × 1,024 × 1,024) and divides by your kbps × 1,000, so a 100 MB file at 5,000 kbps runs about 2 minutes 47 seconds.
