# StoryShort affiliate kit

Commission: 30% of each payment a referred customer makes, as configured on Whop (checked 2026-10-17). Your Whop affiliate dashboard is the record of your rate and payouts.

## How to join
1. Sign in to Whop, or create a free Whop account.
2. Open https://whop.com/storyshortapp/affiliates and join the StoryShort affiliate program.
3. Copy your link from the portal. The Company link looks like https://whop.com/storyshortapp?a=your-whop-username and opens StoryShort's Whop store; product links for a single plan work too.
4. Post it with a disclosure next to it (see the rules below).
5. Whop tracks the click, records the sale and pays you. Your Whop affiliate dashboard shows your rate, clicks, referrals and payouts.

## Product facts you can use
- StoryShort (storyshort.app) turns a story, a Reddit post, a topic or your own text into a narrated vertical video with AI-generated visuals and word-by-word captions.
- Made for story formats: Reddit stories, scary stories, history, Bible verses, quotes, motivation and more.
- Voices: standard natural voices are included; premium ElevenLabs voices are an optional add-on that costs extra credits.
- Every paid plan starts with a 3-day free trial (card required, 120 trial credits, about 3 standard videos). It renews at the plan price unless cancelled, one trial per account.
- Plans start at $19/month for 1,200 credits; a standard video costs 40 credits, so that is about 30 videos a month.
- Can post to a connected YouTube channel automatically.
- Has an API and a remote MCP server, so Claude and other AI agents can create videos directly.
- What it does not do: no avatars or on-screen presenters, and no promise about views, followers or income. Results depend on the creator.

## 10 hooks
1. I pasted a Reddit story and got a narrated video back. Here's the whole thing, unedited.
2. This is how story channels make videos without a camera or a microphone.
3. Same story, two voices. Which one would you keep watching?
4. I turned a two-paragraph short story into a 60-second video. Here's what I had to cut.
5. The hardest part of a story video isn't the visuals. It's choosing the one scene that matters.
6. An honest look at an AI story video maker, including what I still fix by hand.
7. If you've got stories but no time to edit, watch this first.
8. Reading a scary story out loud is hard. Here's the tool I use instead.
9. How I batch a week of story video drafts in one evening.
10. What a $19 AI story video tool actually gives you, credit by credit.

## 3 short scripts

### Script 1: the screen-recording demo (about 30 seconds)
- [Screen: StoryShort create page] "I'm going to turn a story I wrote into a video."
- [Paste the story] "Paste the story, pick a voice and a length."
- [Finished video plays] "Narration, visuals for each beat, captions. I'd still trim the opening, and that's fine: it's a draft I can fix."
- [On-screen text] "Link in bio. It's an affiliate link, so I may earn a commission."

### Script 2: the voice test (about 25 seconds)
- "Same story, two narrators. Listen to the pause before the twist."
- [Play version A, then version B]
- "The standard voice is included. The premium one costs extra credits. For a story, the pause is worth it to me."
- [On-screen text] "Affiliate link in bio: I may earn a commission if you subscribe."

### Script 3: the honest review (about 45 seconds)
- "Three things I like about StoryShort and two I don't."
- "Like: I can paste my own story instead of a prompt. Each beat gets its own visual. Captions are word by word."
- "Don't like: long stories need cutting before they fit, and premium voices cost extra credits."
- "There's a 3-day free trial, but it needs a card and renews unless you cancel, so set a reminder."
- [On-screen text] "This is a paid affiliate link. I may earn a commission."

## Rules you must follow (FTC and Whop)
- Disclose every time, right next to the link: "paid link", "#ad" or "I earn a commission if you buy". "Affiliate" alone, or a disclosure hidden behind "more", is not enough.
- In a video, say it out loud in the video and also write it in the caption or description near the link. A comment is not enough.
- Only say what you have seen yourself. If you haven't used StoryShort, say so, or use it first.
- No income or results claims: don't promise views, followers, monetisation or money, for you or for your audience.
- Don't bid on "StoryShort" in search ads, don't impersonate us, and don't put your link in reviews on Whop.
- On TikTok and Instagram, also switch on the platform's paid-partnership / commercial content setting where it applies.
